HIS Voice

HIS Voice is a TOTAL IMPACT MINISTRY MODEL exercising the Body of Christ in His Kingdom through the following attributes:

Coordinate – Assist the Christian Community [Private Sector, Churches, Ministries, etc.] to work together in areas of needed attention and without duplication. Help to reduce and eliminate the waste of limited resources [people & money]. Work to build Community Partnerships.

Instruct - Provide training in areas of community need. Possible areas: Suicide Prevention, Chaplaincy, Rehabilitation, Education, Healthcare, Mental Health Facilities, Disaster Recovery, etc.

Acquire – Help to gather and distribute available resources. For example: Food, clothing, volunteers, co-op purchasing [office equipment & supplies, vehicles, cell phone minutes, internet access, etc.], insurance, etc.

And all that believed were together, and had all things common...and parted them to all men, as every man had need. (Acts 2:44-45)

INTRODUCTION

According to a recent report by The Program on Public Values at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, over 14% of Americans surveyed declare they had no religion and overall both Catholic and Christian percentages in the United States are dropping. Tax deductions toward charitable giving are currently threatened. Our current economic outlook is bleak. HOWEVER, demands on all social and government resources continue to increase.  Therefore, it is critical all resources provided by our Lord Jesus Christ be distributed with the greatest possible impact inside and outside the Church.  Addressing these physical needs will meet the Community where THEY ARE and hopefully bring them into the Church where we are!

 Looking at Volusia County, Florida's 11th  most populous county, statistics in various segments of our Community one sees Volusia below National and/or State acceptable standards. The need for a joint effort by the Christian Community [Churches, ministries, private business, media outlets] is easily recognized.  HIS Voice is the collaborative effort of every aspect of the Christian Community with the motive of honoring our Lord Jesus Christ by actively being HIS Voice in answering the call of area needs, but without waste and/or unnecessary duplication.  This CAN BE DONE through the simple three-fold mission to -Coordinate Instruct and Acquire all resources available to us in fulfilling this mission.

This BLUEPRINT for a WEB-BASED total impact ministry can and will collaboratively serve Volusia County as one Voice with one heart and one soul (Acts 4:32).

Those concerned with what takes place inside and outside of the Sanctuary and review this information, will hopefully move to join in this unified labor in this functioning part of the Body of Christ Jesus. For too many years, many of those in the Christian Community have left the job of meeting the immediate physical needs of our local Community to a select few termed Para-church organizations/ministries, along with government supported non-profit social services and the government itself.  But, the current economic situation and the loss of funds in both the Church and the government have reduced local resources to meet these community needs calling for a more far-reaching effort.  This places increased responsibility on the Christian Community to not only meet spiritual needs, but also lead the way in addressing the immediate community physical needs as describe in Scripture.  HIS Voice is working toward meeting those needs.

When the Spirit of the Lord brings the Body of Christ together in His power, all needs are met (Acts 2:44-45).  Although there is much activity in many areas of Volusia County by the Christian Community, due to lack of a unified effort we have not been experiencing the effective and positive change in the following areas of need. Please review the excerpts and complete documents referenced online.  It is our hope you will join those of like mind and heart in taking action in overcoming and changing these areas of need into areas of strength by serving and equipping one another.  HIS Voice will serve as the WEB-BASED TRIAGE UNIT for both those who need and those who have the resources to meet those needs.  By God’s great grace and our labor of love, every need will be met and all things will be for our Lord Jesus Christ's glory and the common good in our Jerusalem!
